From 2008 it will be possible to study all of Intermediate level Swedish online. 126-064 Swedish Language and Culture 2A (semester 1) and 126-065 Swedish Language and Culture 2B (semester 2) will be available both for campus-based and online study. All materials will be available through the LMS (Blackboard) and enrolled students can access the materials from any computer in the world. You can choose to enrol in both semesters at once or enrol in one at a time.

Online Swedish is open to anybody who has completed beginners level Swedish at the University of Melbourne or equivalent. If you wish to enrol in Online Swedish contact the subject coordinator prior to commencement of semester. If you are a student from another university you can enrol in Online Swedish through cross-institutional enrolment. If you are not a university student you can study Online Swedish through the Community access programme (CAP).

Streams

Beginners stream

Admission to Swedish Language and Culture 1A (first semester) is limited to students who have no knowledge or very little knowledge of Swedish. Upon successful completion of this subject, students may proceed to Swedish Language and Culture 1B (second semester).

Intermediate stream

Students with some prior knowledge of Swedish may be permitted to enrol in the Intermediate stream: Swedish Language and Culture 2A (first semester) and Swedish Language and Culture 2B (second semester).
